Divergenti, producer of art, thought and communication, chooses each year a theme as a guiding thread, regarding the Trans experience. In 2021 we have seen an aggressive resurgence of patriarchal culture, which historically have always oppressed us. The rejection of the Zan government bill and the violent attack on gender identity (considered as exclusive and binary), have hurt us. DIVERGENTI 2021 puts aside the images and the colors that have always distinguished its poster: it is now published in black, the color of emptiness and denial. It emphasizes the urgency of the moment and denounces the oppressive upsurge, putting the word TRANS back in the center and that’s it.
